Who We Are
Who We Are
CACNPDX is the Portland Oregon local chapter of Christians Against Christian Nationalism.
We're a community of Christians working together to expose and oppose Christian nationalism through education, collaboration, and action.
We partner with people and organizations across the Portland metro area and Southwest Washington who are committed to protecting human dignity, religious freedom, and pluralistic democracy.
Why This, Why Now?
Why This, Why Now?
Christian nationalism is gaining influence in our churches, communities, and public life -- often causing real harm to our neighbors and distorting the message of Jesus.
As followers of Christ, we believe it is our responsibility to challenge extremism within our own faith tradition and help build communities rooted in love, justice, truth, and compassion.
Our Values
Our Values
We are guided by the inherent dignity of every person, a commitment to religious freedom and pluralism, and the belief that Christians are called to love our neighbors and pursue justice.
We value humility, collaboration, truth-telling, and solidarity with those most affected by Christian nationalism.
Our Approach
Our Approach
We believe lasting change happens through learning, relationships, and collective action.
Whether someone is just beginning to explore these issues or is already deeply engaged, we strive to create meaningful opportunities to learn, connect, and contribute in ways that are sustainable.
